Blizzard CEO defends the Immortal Devil Microtransactions

Since its launch last month, Immortal Devil has suffered from constant controversies due to its form of income accumulation, since real money should be used to achieve the rarest objects. And after receiving bad comments constantly, the CEO of the Blizzard has decided to talk about this controversial issue.

In a new interview with Los Angeles Times, Mike Ybarra defended the microtransactions of the title, stating that they were implemented so that the game was more accessible. Something that can be a debate comment, because there are users who spent thousands of dollars to obtain objects that perhaps did not deserve so much.

This commented on this:

When we think of monetization, at the highest level it was: How did we provide a free ‘devil’ experience to hundreds of millions of people, where they can literally do 99.5% of everything in the game?

He also mentioned that microtransactions are decently implemented, for an alleged balanced advance of users:

How

Monetization reaches the end of the game. Philosophy was always leading with great gameplay and making sure that hundreds of millions of people can pass through the entire campaign at no cost. From that point of view, he feels very good as an introduction to Diablo.

To this was added that they still do not receive many profits in the game, since many choose to follow the free game path. But this is a bit contrasting, since in just their first weekend they accumulated more than 24 million dollars . Maybe they expected more profits within that margin.

Remember that Immortal Devil is available in iOS and Android .
